The challenge is no longer doing more.
It's growing without burning out.
I spent 20 years leading teams and brands inside a global company. I now work with leaders and professionals on robustness: the ability to stay solid and keep growing while everything around them keeps shifting.

A workplace under pressure
Work asks people to move faster, with less, in conditions that are harder and harder to predict. The research keeps landing in the same place: what drives a team's engagement is the quality of its management, far more than any wellbeing programme or one-off bonus.
For leaders, the race for immediate results is running out of road, and nothing obvious has come along to replace it. For the people doing the work, the same pressure shows up as a more personal question: how do I keep going without burning out, or losing myself along the way?
This isn't about willpower, and it isn't about courage. It's the model itself that no longer holds.
Robustness is not the opposite of performance. It's what makes performance last.
In nature, the systems that last are rarely the most efficient ones. They are the ones that can take a hit, adapt, and reorganise. That takes slack, variety, and sometimes a deliberate choice to move slowly.
Inside an organisation, the thing that wears people down is rarely the workload. It is usually quieter than that. A team where nobody says what they actually think any more. A direction that changes often enough that no one is sure where it leads. The ability is there. The context is what keeps it from surfacing.
Agility matters. But what changes is the tactics, not the destination. When people know where they are heading and trust that it will still be true next quarter, they contribute, they ask, they say when something is off. A strong team isn't one that agrees on everything. It is one where people will disagree in the open, and where bad news travels early enough to be useful.
Those are the conditions I build with my clients. Teams where the difficult thing gets said in time. Managers who keep standards high without emptying themselves in the process.
Leadership coaching and training in Brussels and across Belgium
For companies that want managers who hold up under pressure, and for professionals who want clarity about their own direction. These are the four ways I work. In person in Brussels and across Belgium, or remotely.
Individual coaching & career repositioning
For anyone weighing up what comes next: stay, leave, move into a different role, or carry on differently where they are. We work out what is genuinely at stake, so the decision rests on something solid rather than on fatigue. Includes support for returning to work after a long absence.
Coaching for people who lead teams
For the managers themselves: keeping standards high without burning out, giving feedback that is fair and actually lands, handling tension in the team, or bringing someone back after a long absence. One to one, or in a small peer group.
Team coaching
Building teams that hold up over time. The aim is simple: problems surface early, disagreement happens in the room rather than in the corridor, and people can say hard things to each other without the relationship paying for it. Clarifying roles, team workshops, alignment sessions.
Training & facilitation
In-company sessions on managing a team and on speaking with impact. Running the difficult conversation. Giving feedback that lands. Correcting someone without crushing them. Carrying a message and holding a room. Short, active formats built on the situations people are actually dealing with, not on textbook cases. I also facilitate seminars and team workshops.
20 years in the field,
and a deliberate turn.
Aline Lemaire, founder of Align Up
I spent twenty years inside one of the largest American multinationals, fifteen of them leading teams, from junior hires to managers, up to Marketing Director BENELUX. Several countries, several languages, and realities on the ground different enough that you had to understand them before deciding anything. I know what it is to make the call without all the cards, to carry the numbers, and to hold a team together through a reorganisation.
In 2025, after a restructuring, I made a choice. Instead of shaping one team, I wanted to shape several. I now put that experience to work for the people and organisations who want to grow without losing themselves along the way.
Trained at ICF levels 1 and 2 (Leading and Coaching Academy), currently certifying in Team & Group Coaching, and a trainer. I work in French, Dutch and English.
I work at each person's own pace, because insight cannot be forced. But no session ends without something having moved. I ask the questions that shift something, not the ones that sound impressive.
